FamilonOriginal body pillow

Designed in collaboration with a physiatrist, the extra-long Familon Original body pillow is suitable for sleepers of all ages and body types, also allergy sufferers.

The long 40x150cm Familon Original pillow is divided by stitching into two sections (80 cm and 70 cm), and thanks to the zip fastener, the amount of filling in each section can be adjusted separately. The support pillow makes for a perfect sleeping companion: move part of the filling to one end of the pillow to make that end thicker and firmer.

The pillow comes with one (1) matching white pillowcase. Pillowcases for the body pillow are also available separately.

The Original body pillow is filled with soft 100% recycled polyester (1,000 g) that adapts to the contours of the body. The filling of the pillow is made of recycled polyester, and around 35 recycled PET bottles are used to make the filling of each pillow.

The elongated pillow supports a partial side position so that one leg of the sleeper is bent over the pillow and the other lies straight alongside it. The top of the pillow supports the thoracic spine and upper limb via the chest, preventing harmful back rotation and strain on the shoulders. The lower part of the pillow comprehensively supports the legs from ankle to hip. The position is therefore balanced in relation to the mattress, and no pressure is applied to the nerves of the hip or ankle. The Original body pillow can also be used behind the back to support the spine. This will take pressure off the shoulder and hip.

The Familon Original body pillow is also suitable as a pregnancy pillow since, during late pregnancy, the long pillow helps expectant mothers with sleep and back problems by softly supporting the body and stomach. A well-supported side position prevents back pain and makes it easier to fall asleep. This completely water-washable, soft adaptable pillow is also suitable for use as a breastfeeding pillow.

Many know the product as a ‘boyfriend pillow’ and using it as a sleep buddy is a good way of improving sleep ergonomics, particularly if you are a side sleeper. The extra-long, pleasantly soft body pillow is also great for lounging on a bed or sofa, and comfortable for children when playing.

The pillow is sold in easily recyclable bio-based packaging made mostly of Paptic® Tringa, a Finnish innovation.

The new Familon Original body pillow is similar to the Familon Ergo Selkä body pillow.

The pillow is a hygiene product. To ensure product hygiene, it is non-returnable.

Wash the Original body pillow at 60 C

When properly cared for, Familon pillows will remain fluffy and airy long into the future. Fluff the pillow regularly. The pillow should be washed twice a year. Air and wash the pillow to keep it hygienic and fresh.

To ensure continued hygiene and sleep quality, replace the pillow about every two years.
